Some Tips for your stay in Rome

Which are best places to exchange currency?

There are a couple of different options to exchange currency. One option is to do it in your home country by going to your local bank. Another option is to go to an ATM in Rome. You can find ATMs by looking for the word “bancomat”, which means ATM machine in Italian. Going to an ATM is more beneficial and cheaper than currency exchange companies or banks, even with the foreign transaction fee. Credit Cards (especially Visa and MasterCard circuits) are accepted in most shops and restaurants and are a good solution to avoid cash.

Transportation in Rome

How to easily move in Rome using bus, train and metro

Traveling around the city is relatively easy. Taxis are a convenient way, but always taking a taxi can become costly. Another way to travel around the city is to get a public transportation card. Purchasing the pass is pretty cheap and can be used for all of the local busses, metro, and regional trains. Directions on how to get from one place to another via public transportation can be found on Google Maps or another app called MoovIt. Both of those apps are free and give step by step instructions on how to get to your destination.
